A walk to the magnificent Appian Way and Claudian Aqueduct concludes our lovely day trip in Rome. These are truly one-of-a-kind sites that you must include on your Rome itinerary.

Appian Way

We’ll finish off with a stroll along the Appian Way, one of the world’s oldest and most important streets. Via Appia, known as the “Queen of Roads” by Romans, ran from Rome to Brindisi in Southern Italy, serving as the primary commercial route between Greece and the East. As a result, the Appian Way, built around 300 B.C., is regarded as one of Ancient Rome’s finest technical feats.

Aqueduct Park

The Claudian Aqueduct is the final stop on our unique Rome trip. Built in 38 A.D. and completed barely 14 years later, it served as Rome’s main water supply, an engineering wonder with over 70 kilometers of arches. Acqua Claudia is one of Rome’s four famous aqueducts and is now part of the Aqueduct Park.
